Welcome to Club Conchylia West!

Section West stretches approximately along the axis Münster-Koblenz, as well as easterly and westerly from that.

We meet regularly in the Essen and Cologne area to

- increase our knowledge on molluscs
- promote the public interest in nature (youth work/PR)
- scientifically identify molluscs
- exchange scientific literature
- build up our private collections
- exchange experience from travels and field trips
- plan and organize mollusc displays

We organize activities within and outside Germany, like shell shows, visits to museums, lectures, activities 
with other clubs and institutions, etc. and provide contact to other club members and specialists.

Of course we also put a focus on personal contact and just spending a nice time together.

All interested naturalists are welcome to join us.
Detailed knowledge in the field of malacology is not required.
