Complete descriptions including anatomical characters are provided for 7 species collected during the freshwater invertebrate survey of Nepal organised in 1993-2000. Belonging of Sphaerium indicum DESHAYES, 1854 to the genus Musculium is shown. Anatomy of Pisidium kuiperi DANCE, 1967 and P. nevillianum THEOBALD, 1876 is described for the first time and affinities of these species to P. annandalei PRASHAD, 1925 and P. clarkeanum G. & H. NEVILL, 1871, respectively, are confirmed. P. atkinsonianum THEOBALD, 1876 proves to be distinct species, closely related to P. floresianum RENSCH, 1934 from SE Asia and Euglesa khurbaense ZATRAVKIN, 1987 described from the Russian Far East.

Zwischen 1993 und 2000 wurden sieben Arten der Erbsenmuscheln (Sphaeriidae) und Krbchenmuscheln (Corbiculidae) in Nepal nachgewiesen. Ihre Anatomie und Schalenmorphologie wird abgebildet, beschrieben und mit benachbarten Taxa nordindischer Unionsstaaten verglichen. Die Zugehrigkeit von Sphaerium indicum DESHAYES, 1854 zur Gattung Musculium wird aufgezeigt und als Name Musculium indicum nov. comb. verwendet. Erstmals wird die Anatomie von Pisidium kuiperi DANCE, 1967 und P. nevillianum THEOBALD, 1876 beschrieben und die systematische Stellung von P. annandalei PRASHAD, 1925 sowie P. clarkeanum G. & H. NEVILL, 1871 geklrt. Pisidium atkinsonianum THEOBALD, 1876 steht als valide Art den s¸dostasiatischen taxa P. floresianum RENSCH, 1834 und Euglesa khurbaense ZATRAVKIN, 1987 aus dem fernen Osten Russlands nahe.
